Bank names area president

TAMPA — SunTrust Banks Inc. appointed leaders for the Florida division and Tampa Bay market.

Scott Cathcart was named the Florida division president, and Tim Schar was named the Tampa Bay market president for the Atlanta-based bank.

Cathcart serves as the central Florida division president. He will continue to have direct oversight of that market in addition to overseeing all Florida markets, according to a press release.
