TAMPA — John Adams has joined Avalon Healthcare Solutions as CFO, while Kerri Fritsch has been promoted to chief client officer.
Based in Tampa, Avalon is a laboratory benefit management company that helps physicians, consumers and payers make cost-effective use of diagnostic laboratory tests.
According to a press release, Adams comes to Avalon from Alignment Healthcare, where he served as CFO and helped secure more than $100 million in funding. Fritsch, meanwhile, has been with Avalon for more than three years, previously serving as senior vice president of account management. She has also worked for New Century Health, WellCare and CoreManagement, serving as CEO of the latter, the release states.
"We selected John Adams to help lead Avalon through our next phase of growth and evolution," Avalon CEO Bill Kerr states in the release. "John's background includes several private-equity-owned and publicly quoted companies, mainly in long term contract service industries, which were facing considerable growth and the need to scale effectively. His experience includes laboratory services, health plans, health care software and data management.”
Kerr adds, via the release, “Kerri did an outstanding job leading both our account management and financial teams over the past year, and having her as part of the executive team solidifies Avalon's unwavering commitment to its customers."
