SARASOTA — Sun Hydraulics will donate over 250 meals to first responders at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Manatee Memorial Hospital on May 29.

An employee-driven fundraiser raised over $3,000 to feed frontline workers, according to a press release. The company matched the donation, bringing the total donation to over $6,000 to provide hot meals to area first responders, the release adds.

In a partnership with local restaurant group Mattison’s, boxed meals will be delivered during the lunch and dinner shifts at both hospitals. The meals will be delivered to the often unsung heroes at these facilities — the environmental service and housekeeping staff, a statement says.
