Area companies raise more than $100 million

Firms range from bioscience companies to a self-storage startup.

Two months into 2021, multiple Tampa Bay area firms have scored big wins in securing new capital, with eight entities raising at least $105 million from a variety of sources. Companies with significant investments include:

Aspen RxHealth: Tampa-based firm, behind a mobile-based application that connects health plan members with pharmacists, raised $23 million. The Series B round comes mostly from San Francisco-based Bessemer Venture Partners, one of the nation’s leading early-stage venture capital firms. Bessemer has previously invested in Yelp, Shopify, LinkedIn and LifeLock, among others.
