A year after joining national insurance brokerage Higginbotham, St. Petersburg-based CCI Insurance is making its proprietary risk-management technology available to a wider market.
CCI has renamed its CompCorrect platform RiskCorrect — a name change that reflects the program’s expansion from a workers’ compensation claims-management system into a broader commercial risk-management tool, the release says. The program uses AI to analyze large volumes of claims and incident data, identify patterns and help companies determine what needs to change.
Earlier this month, CCI officially made RiskCorrect available as a standalone product for companies with significant claims exposure and complex risk profiles.
“CompCorrect was the right name when we were focused primarily on workers’ compensation,” CCI Managing Director and Regional Sales Director Tobin Robeck says in a statement. “RiskCorrect reflects what we’ve built today: a platform that helps companies see what is driving their losses, connect the dots across claims and incidents, decide what needs to change and prove that those changes are working.”
Launched in 2020, the technology connects claims and workplace incidents with safety efforts, root-cause analyses, corrective actions and insurance underwriting strategies, the company says. It also uses AI to analyze large volumes of claims and incident data, and identify patterns and potential problems.
Robeck, who co-founded the platform, says AI can identify trends that may be overlooked when claims are reviewed individually. “The technology takes a tremendous amount of routine analysis and administrative work off our people, and it also surfaces things people might miss,” Robeck says.
For construction companies and other high-risk businesses, claims records can also influence whether they qualify to compete for contracts. Experience modification rates, workplace safety records and incident rates are often considered when projects are awarded.
CCI, which specializes in property and casualty insurance for construction and other high-risk industries, joined Fort Worth, Texas-based Higginbotham in 2025. Higginbotham Chairman and CEO Rusty Reid says the broader RiskCorrect rollout illustrates how CCI has continued to grow since the companies joined forces.
