Manufacturer Century Fasteners Corp. has sold its Tampa industrial property and is leasing it back.

The deal is for the 24,777-square-foot facility at 5040 Tampa West Blvd. The buyer is Redfearn Capital, says Colliers, which brokered the sale.

The Delray Beach-based private equity firm paid $4.8 million for the property.

In return, Century signed a seven-year lease for the entire building.

The industrial facility sits on 1.35 acres just off Anderson Road between Waters Avenue and Hillsborough Avenue. It was built in 1985 and includes approximately 4,000 square feet of office space, 24-foot clear heights, four dock-high loading positions, three-phase power and parking for automobiles and trailers.

Century Fasteners bought the building in 1998 for $412,500, according to Hillsborough County property records.

The Elmhurst, New York-based company distributes fastener and non-fastener products to the aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, telecom and general industrial industries. It employs about 270 people, about 30 at the Tampa West Boulevard facility.

Colliers’ Robyn Hurrell, Kyle Kidd, Tom Quinlan and Dominic Hewitt brokered the deal.
