A Manatee County auto parts store has been sold as part of a nine-state portfolio sale.

The local store is the Napa Auto Parts location at 1416 10th St. E. in Palmetto. Marcus & Millichap, which announced the sale, did not disclose what it sold for, and county records have yet to be updated.

As for who bought the portfolio, a spokesperson for the firm writes in an email that “Unfortunately, the buyer has requested anonymity.”

Here is what we do know:

The store is part of a $15.02 million portfolio purchase that includes Napa Auto Parts locations in Phoenix; Southaven, Mississippi; Columbia, South Carolina; Richmond, Virginia; Liverpool, New York; West St. Paul, Minnesota; Universal City, Texas; and Buford, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.

The portfolio totals 56,976 square feet with eight properties under master leases and the Palmetto store under a direct lease.

Marcus & Millichap describes the seller as “a private group.”

According to county property records, the previous owner of the Palmetto store is Atlanta-based Genuine Parts Co., which paid $1.5 million for it in 2007. Genuine is Napa’s parent company.

Marcus & Millichap’s Alex Zylberglait, John Leonard, Mickey Davis, Ben Yelm, Brian Hosey, John Horowitz, Jon Ruzicka, Tim Speck and Ryan Sarbinoff worked on the sale.
