Allegiant boosts nonstop routes out of Punta Gorda, St. Pete-Clearwater

The discount airline is adding a total of eight new destinations at four Florida airports.

Allegiant Travel Co. is boosting its nonstop flight roster across Florida, including adding new flights at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and Punta Gorda Airport.

The new round trip flights in St. Petersburg will be to Columbia, Missouri, and Philadelphia. The Punta Gorda flight will be to La Crosse, Wisconsin.

These flights are part of a route expansion the Las Vegas airline is making in the state as it expands its “growing presence in leisure destinations across Florida.”

Other airports getting new routes are Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Orlando-Sanford International Airport. In all, across the airports Allegiant is adding eight nonstop routes.

At St. Pete-Clearwater International, the new route to Philadelphia via Philadelphia International Airport starts Oct. 2, with one-way fares as low as $59.

The new route to Columbia, Missouri via Columbia Regional Airport starts Nov. 19, with one-way fares as low as $69.

And at Punta Gorda Airport, the new route to La Crosse, Wisconsin via La Crosse Regional Airport starts Oct 1.

The airline says tickets are available now.
