Beloved for its hyper-feminine, vintage inspired frills, florals and bows, New York-based lifestyle and clothing brand LoveShackFancy is opening a new boutique in South Tampa’s Hyde Park.

Construction is already underway at the former J. McLaughlin’s storefront located at 1619 W. Snow Ave. An opening date has not yet been announced.

"Our stores are always designed to feel emotional and immersive, almost like stepping into someone’s home, and Hyde Park Village already has that same sense of warmth and discovery built into it," LoveShackFancy founder Rebecca Hessel Cohen says in a release. "We’ve had customers in Tampa shopping the brand for years, so opening here felt like a very natural next step for us.”

Cohen, a former editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine, founded the brand in 2013, offering fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle products. LoveShackFancy’s new Hyde Park home will be its third in Florida, joining fellow lifestyle and apparel brands Rifle Paper Company, Anthropologie, Zimmermann, Alice and Olivia, Veronica Beard and Sunni Spencer.

"When I picture LoveShackFancy at Hyde Park Village, it makes me smile," Samantha David, president of WS Development, says in the release. "I see someone walking through the neighborhood on a Saturday morning and stepping inside for what she thinks will be five minutes, but suddenly losing half an hour."
