A waterfront home in Sarasota’s Harbor Acres neighborhood has sold in what the real estate firms involved are calling the largest sale on the city’s mainland this year.
The house is a 7,687-square-foot two-story residence at 1204 Hillview Drive that sold for $17 million. It was originally listed for $18.9 million.
Coldwell Banker, which listed the property, says there was a separate deal for the furnishings and that this was not a cash sale.
The deal closed Thursday, July 2. Sarasota County property records were updated Sunday but do not disclose the buyer, citing a Florida statute that allows an owner to remain confidential in public records.
A spokesperson for The Tengerdy Team with Premier Sotheby's International Realty, which represented the buyer, says in an email that “We cannot disclose the buyers’ name.
“They kept the information out of property records for privacy reasons.”
As for the house, it was built in 2008 and has six bedrooms, seven full baths and two half baths.
Sitting on 171 feet of frontage along Sarasota Bay, its features include formal living and dining rooms, a waterfront family room, private library (which opens to a 35-foot waterfront terrace), executive office and a gourmet kitchen with zebrawood cabinetry and a dedicated coffee bar.

The primary bedroom has a pair of "spa-inspired" baths, three walk-in closets and a private laundry.
Outside, there’s a 76-foot elevated terrace with a summer kitchen, a 55-foot heated pool and a private dock with direct access to Sarasota Bay and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Premier Sotheby's says in a statement that according to the Multiple Listing Service this is the highest-priced residential sale on the Sarasota mainland in 2026 and the highest-priced home sale in Harbor Acres this year.
The community is south of downtown Sarasota, sitting on the bay.
“While other Sarasota-area waterfront communities continue to perform well, Harbor Acres remains one of the region's most sought-after luxury neighborhoods because of its limited inventory, deep-water access and proximity to downtown Sarasota,” the firm says.
Stephanie Church of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the seller. Roberta Tengerdy with Premier Sotheby's International downtown Sarasota office represented the buyer.
