Tampa-based exotic car rental company expands into Sarasota

A luxury transportation company based in Tampa has added Sarasota to its service area. Energetic Exotics is now offering luxury and exotic vehicle rentals, executive transportation, professional chauffeur services, airport transfers and personalized concierge services to Sarasota residents and visitors.

“Sarasota has become one of Florida's premier destinations for luxury travel, business and lifestyle experiences," Marlon Wentworth, co-founder of Energetic Exotics, says in a statement.

"Expanding into this market allows us to better serve clients who expect more than transportation,” Wentworth says. “They want an experience that is seamless, personalized and reflective of the destination they're visiting. We are excited to bring our concierge-first approach and exceptional service to the Sarasota community." 

Energetic Exotics offers dozens of luxury and exotic vehicle rentals from car makers including Lamborghini, McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Mercedes-Benz, among others. Costs vary, with hourly and daily rates starting in the hundreds of dollars. For example, a McLaren 720S can be rented for $295 an hour or $1,395 for the day.

The company says its vehicle rentals can be used for things like music videos, photo shoots and branded content; corporate appearances and promotional activations; birthdays, anniversaries or milestone celebrations; luxury vacations and weekend drives; weddings, private parties and VIP events; and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

According to Energetic Exotics' co-founder, the company's entry into the Sarasota market follows a demand for its offerings, which also includes a black-car fleet of Mercedes Maybachs, Cadillac Escalades, Rolls-Royce Cullinans and luxury Sprinters.

“Over the past year, we saw a steady increase in requests from Sarasota, Bradenton and Longboat Key for chauffeur service, exotic rentals and concierge work,” Wentworth says in an email in response to questions from the Business Observer about what drove the Sarasota expansion. “We were servicing those trips from outside the region, and at a certain point it made more sense to base vehicles here and widen what we can offer locally than to keep driving in.”

The company stages vehicles locally and brings them directly to the client, according to Wentworth. It can also arrange things like jet and yacht access through its concierge service.

“Just as important, we've built direct relationships with area hotels and private clients who need more than a rental,” Wentworth says. “They want a vehicle, a driver and someone handling the logistics around it.”

Other areas in the region Energetic Exotics serves are Naples and Fort Myers. It also has a presence in cities around the state, from Gainesville to Orlando to Miami.
