Shake Shack is opening a new restaurant in Naples, its second in the city but its first standalone in Southwest Florida.
The new restaurant, which will have inside dining and a single lane drive thru, is at 6833 Collier Blvd. just off U.S. Highway 41.
According to the chain, it will open Sept. 4.
A spokesperson for Shake Shack says the new location will be the company’s eighth standalone in the state and only the second along the Gulf Coast. The others are in Coral Gables, Winter Park, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando and Oviedo. The local one is in Wesley Chapel.
Shake Shack, which started in New York’s City Madison Square Park as a hot dog cart, is best known for its burgers and shakes made with frozen vanilla custard.
The chain already has 32 locations in the state, including five along the Gulf coast. That includes two in Tampa and one each at Mercato in Naples, Sarasota and Wesley Chapel. A Coconut Point restaurant is expected to open next year.
To mark next week’s opening, the company says it will donate $1 to the Harry Chapin Food Bank for every sandwich sold Sep. 4.
