Jacksonville-based NXTPoint Logistics announced Thursday its plan to open a third party logistics distribution center in Tampa this June.

The 193,000-square-foot facility is at 2001 Suddath Park Street in the East Side neighborhood. It will feature 33 loading docks, a clearance height of 36 feet and a seven-inch concrete slab to support industry-leading pallet weights of up to 2,000 pounds, according to a release from the company.

The firm plans to hire up to 60 positions, which will include operations managers, supervisors and warehouse team members.

“The opening of our new logistics center in Tampa represents more than just an expansion for our company — it’s an investment that signifies our commitment to the future of this region,” says Chad Warzecha, president of NXTPoint Logistics in the statement. “Tampa’s strong workforce, supply chain community, infrastructure and pro-business environment made it an obvious choice for this type of investment. The facility will not only enhance our operational capabilities, but it will also contribute to local economic growth through job creation and long-term community engagement.”

NXTPoint Logistics is the supply chain management division of Suddath, which was founded as a moving company in 1919. According to its website, the firm generates $736 million in annual revenue through several avenues — including warehouse, distribution and fulfillment, project and transportation management and final mile delivery across more than 30 owned facilities and more than 3.5 million square feet of warehouse space.
