New Jersey investors pay $3.9 million for Tampa industrial building

The real estate investment firms bought the nearly 20,000-square-foot building near Tampa International Airport and has put it up for lease.

A 19,422-square-foot industrial property in Tampa has sold to a pair of out-of-state real estate investment firms.

The property is at 5126 West Cypress St., just off of Westshore Boulevard and about two miles from Tampa International Airport. The purchase price was $3.9 million. according to New Jersey-based Stro Cos. which bought the property with the Kushner Real Estate Group.

Stro says it was an off-market deal.

The building has 17-foot clear ceilings and 11 load docks. It was built in 1969.

It is being marketed for lease by Lee Associates’ Jessica Mizrahi and Julia Silva.

Stro Cos. was founded in 1994 and its portfolio is made up of 4 million square feet of mostly industrial space in New Jersey and Florida. With the Tampa purchase, its inventory now includes eight properties here, including three others in the Tampa Bay market.

The company says its specialty is “transforming underperforming assets into stabilized, performing opportunities.”

Kushner's multifamily portfolio includes more than 9,000 apartments, with 7,000 more in the process of getting approved and built. The firm also owns and manages more than 6 million square feet of office, warehouse and retail space.
