Casey Key waterfront estate listed for $16 million

A waterfront estate on Casey Key has hit the market.

The property, which sits on 2 acres at 2411 and 2407 Casey Key Road, is listed for $16 million.

According to the listing agency Smith & Associates Real Estate, the property has 300 feet of Gulf frontage and 92 feet of frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Beyond the waterfront, the $16 million gets you a main house, two guest houses and a grandfathered-in covered boat dock with a 16,000-pound lift.

The dock gives you access to the Intracoastal while a beachside infinity pool offers a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico.

Smith & Associates says in a statement that the property is “primed for redevelopment into a private and secluded estate or into two one-acre lots.”

The home is the latest property to top the $10 million price point on the barrier islands off Sarasota-Manatee in the past few months. 

Among those is a Siesta Key estate named Crystal Waters that was listed for $31.5 million last month.

As for the Casey Key property, the main house, which was built in 1987, is a total of 8,980 square feet and has two bedrooms and two bedrooms and five bathrooms — three full and two half. It is two stories and has an elevator.
