A construction company headquartered in Bonita Springs has opened an office in Sarasota in what it calls a “strategic move” as it expands into the market. Heatherwood Construction Co. is holding a grand opening for its new location on Tuesday.
The building at 7069 S. Tamiami Trail was purchased by Heatherwood Real Estate Group LLC in October 2024 for $375,000, according to Sarasota County property records. It is described as an office condo with commercial zoning in Pine Park Centre.
Since buying the building off US 41 south of Stickney Point Road, Heatherwood Construction has renovated the 1,500-square-foot space. It now features a lobby, conference room, four offices, kitchen and storage.
“This expansion into Sarasota is a natural evolution of our mission to lead with integrity, deliver excellence and foster long-term relationships,” Heatherwood Construction owner and CEO Walter Crawford says in a statement.
The Sarasota team consists of seasoned professionals who will help position the company for success working on commercial and shopping center construction projects throughout the region, according to a statement.
Heatherwood Construction Company was No. 32 on the Business Observer’s list of the Top 50 Contractors in the region for 2025. It posted $52 million in revenue in 2024 and had 42 employees.
