A Fort Myers contractor is cutting the ribbon June 9 on its new facility in the Sarasota-Manatee area. B&I Contractors, which specializes in electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems for commercial, industrial and institutional clients, reports it recently relocated its operations so that it could expand.
The new B&I Contractors office is at 7805 24th Court E., near Tallevast Road and U.S. 301. There, the company is leasing the property, which is about 1.5 miles south of its previous location at 6638 26th Court E. B&I Contractors owned that building.
Moving “comes in direct response to rising demand, new market opportunities and a commitment to supporting the region’s evolving infrastructure and service needs,” the company says in a statement.
B&I Contractors is currently working on many projects in the Sarasota-Manatee area, according to company officials, including Mote Science Education Aquarium, Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute, Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s Venice campus, Wellen Park High School, Lake Manatee K-8 and Baycare Hospital Manatee on Moccasin Wallow Road.
The company's new Sarasota-Manatee area office is larger and has street-front visibility, according to the statement. At 5,400 square feet, the space at 7805 24th Court East is about twice the size of the previous location, according to a representative for the company.
B&I Contractors was ranked No. 8 on the Business Observer's 2025 list of the Top 50 Contractors in the region, based on revenue. It posted $247 million in revenue in 2024, up from $189 million the previous year. The employee-owned company also has offices in Fort Myers, Tamarac and Tampa.
