Miami-based Coastal Construction announced Thursday a recent milestone of one of its Tampa projects.
Aqua, a 77-unit luxury condominium project in the Westshore district of Tampa, has topped out. Construction at the Westshore Yacht Club began in April 2024, according to the project’s website, and is slated to be completed in April 2026.
“The Westshore Yacht Club is elevating Tampa’s profile as a global luxury waterfront destination,” says Sean DeMartino, president of Coastal Construction in a statement. “Reaching this milestone at AQUA brings us one step closer to completing a truly iconic community, and we’re proud to help shape its legacy.”
Units start at $1.5 million and amenities include a rooftop sky pool, spa and steam rooms, movie theater, golf simulator, kids’ area, pickleball court, valet services and access to a 173-slip deep-water marina and private Bay Club.
Coastal Construction was founded by CEO Thomas Murphy Jr. in 1989 after he sold another construction firm to Turner Construction in 1986. According to its website, the firm has built over 15,000 residences and 5,000 hotel rooms in 60 hotels. Other Tampa projects include the Ritz-Carlton Residences Tampa, Pendry Residences Tampa and several of the Water Street Tampa projects.
