A daytime dining concept with three restaurants in Sarasota and Manatee counties will open a fourth this April, outside downtown Sarasota.
The Breakfast Company will welcome diners to its newest location — 411 N. Orange Ave. in the Rosemary District — on April 23.
Breakfast and lunch fare will be served at the Sarasota restaurant, which will feature a full bakery with house-made pastries and a gourmet coffee program. Sandwiches, salads and other dishes will be available as well, and the eatery will offer delivery and catering services.
There are three other locations for The Breakfast Company, the first of which opened in east Manatee County in 2020 in Twelve Oaks Plaza in the Braden River area at 7246 55th Ave. E.; the others are in The Landings shopping center at 4823 S. Tamiami Trail and at University Town Center at 8491 Cooper Creek Blvd.
The Breakfast Company, according to a statement, was founded by the family behind El Greco Cafe, a Greek restaurant that used to be on Main Street in downtown Sarasota.
Mixed among the traditional breakfast and lunch dishes like pancakes, eggs, waffles and sandwiches on the menu are nods to the owners’ Greek culture: famous Greek salad; avgolemono soup; a Mediterranean skillet bowl; and pitas featuring gyro meat and Mediterranean veggies.
“More than just great food, we’re proud to bring the spirit of philoxenia — the Greek concept of extending warmth and friendship to all — to every table we serve,” The Breakfast Company CEO Dimitri Syros says in a statement. “We want each guest to feel like family from the moment they walk through the door.”
The Breakfast Company will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
