3D Cloud, a digital asset management platform that hosts 3D design elements for various e-commerce companies, recently received a $20 million investment from Tampa-based Bellini Capital.
Arnie Bellini, managing partner of Bellini Capital, sits on the board of 3D Cloud. He is one of two backers, the other being Dan Gilbert, a co-founder of Quicken Loans and owner of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, among other projects.
“3D Cloud gets it. They are responding to the clear market demand from pros, designers and homeowners alike by reducing onboarding time, accelerating project design, automating presentations, and providing a highly collaborative design experience,” Bellini says in a statement. “Homeowners now have web-based access to design tools that are fun and easy to use. And for major retailers, the cost of managing their design and visualization programs is dramatically reduced.”
3D Cloud began as Marxent in 2011. The company hosts visualization assets for home and office furniture, kitchen, bath, closets and storage design projects. Brands and retailers are able to create renderings, 360 product spins and virtual reality of different products so that clients can visualize the spaces beforehand. Clients include Macy’s, Ashley, HNI Corp., La-Z-Boy and Joybird.
Headquartered in St. Pete, there are additional offices in Miamisburg, Ohio and London.
