A 7,163-square-foot home on Anna Maria Island has hit the market. The asking price: $25 million.

The home is at 104 Sunset Lane in Holmes Beach and sits on a 0.7-acre parcel with 80 feet of water frontage.

It is the highest priced home to hit the market and, if sold at the asking price, will be the biggest sale in the history of the island, according to Coldwell Banker, who is representing the seller.

The previous high, the brokerage says, was $16 million for a home sold by Charles Buky, who is the agent on this home as well.

The home is called Sunset Dream and has five bedrooms and six baths, which is sort of like highlighting the features of a Lamborghini by pointing out it has two doors and a trunk with a spare tire.

With 180-degree unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico, the three-story home features a glass central staircase leading to a great room that looks out at the water and a custom kitchen that has titan dolomite stone counters, The Galley Workstation sink with dual faucets, low profile Wolf range, full size Sub Zero refrigerator and freezer, red and white wine coolers, bar and built-in Frame television.

There is also hidden full-service second kitchen.

On the third floor, the master bedroom has floor-to-ceiling, cornerless windows with a view of the Gulf along with a built-in breakfast bar, custom leather bed with hidden foot board and his-and-hers closets. The master bathroom also features views of the beach from the bathtub.

And, of course, there’s a media room with a solid, smoked oak bar, 155-inch television and hand-cut paulownia wood wall covering.

The home, according to the listing, comes with furnishings from Minotti and a white grand piano.

Overall, the house has 11,548 square feet under roof, which includes all the space of the covered outdoor terrace areas on the three levels.

Sunset Dream was developed by Rick Mikles who co-founded and was co-CEO of Ideal Image Development, a laser hair removal company which sold for $175 million. He is currently chairman of Znergy Inc., an LED lighting products and energy management solutions company.
