Bradenton is days away from having a Sprouts Farmers Market.

The Arizona-based grocery store has lots planned for its June 30 grand opening. The store, at 1149 Cortez Road, will open at 7 a.m.

“I am very excited to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to the Manatee County and Bradenton communities,” Manatee County Commissioner Mike Rahn says in a release, adding that the store will be providing a number of jobs to the area.

The store hosted a hiring fair in May to fill 100 positions. There are 39 Sprouts locations in Florida, with one in Sarasota, several in the Tampa Bay area and a location in Naples. A Fort Myers location is expected to open July 21, according to the company's website.

Among the grand opening activities are a “pop-up party” for guests to sample seasonal produce and a reusable goodie bag that will be available to the first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday.

The Phoenix-based publicly traded company, which reported $6.4 billion in revenue in 2022, works alongside local farms like Plant City-based Santa Sweets and Wish Farms to source its produce. In addition, the company has a food rescue program in place to donate edible groceries that are no longer fit for sale to local food bank Feeding Tampa Bay. The company has about 380 stores across 23 states with roughly 31,000 team members.
