Avi Brosh's Palisociety will open its Palihouse boutique hotel brand in Hyde Park Village this autumn, according to a news release.

The hotel will have 36 rooms, and it is the hotel company's first in Florida. It is being done in partnership with WS Development of Boston, a large mixed-use development firm, the companies say. The hotel, at 1509 W. Swann Ave., Tampa, is scheduled to open this fall.

"Hyde Park is noted as the most revered destination neighborhood in Tampa and with Hyde Park Village's innate charm and sense of style, we knew it was a natural fit for a Palihouse hotel," says Avi Brosh, founder and CEO of Palisociety. "We particularly covet finding unexpected properties in communities where we can create a unique and creative new aesthetic and vision for the area that feels like a natural extension of its existing appeal."

Samantha David, president of WS Development, says Palisociety is an industry leader for creating boutique hotels that are original and charming "with distinctive and thoughtful amenities and a remarkable attention to detail, always designing with the neighborhood in mind."

WS Development has owned and managed Hyde Park Village since 2013, according to company officials. Located on a tree-lined street within the Hyde Park neighborhood, in the historic district of Tampa, Palihouse Hyde Park Village has an "European-inspired style with bits of Palisociety's 'signature irreverent' design."

Among the amenities: a lobby lounge with a cafe and bar, well-sized guest rooms, feature kitchenettes equipped with Smeg mini fridges, custom dining tables, gallery art walls, brass Waterworks fixtures, and library seating in most rooms.

"The overall impression is one that honors Florida's colorful and warm personality with a charming dose of European-influenced style and sensibility," the two companies say in the statement.

Palihouse Hyde Park Village will be Palisociety’s 19th property. It has eight in California, according to its website, and has one each in Texas, North Carolina, New Mexico and Tennessee, among other states.

WS Development was established in 1990. It owns, operates and leases more than 100 properties that range from urban spaces to lifestyle and community centers, the company says. It manages 22 million square feet of existing space and an additional 9 million square feet under development.
