A South Carolina developer is building a 110,700-square-foot industrial building in Pinellas Park that, when complete, will create about 200 jobs.

The developer, Johnson Development Associates, is building the facility on 18.6 acres it just bought inside the 65-acre Gateway Centre Business Park.

It paid $3.58 million for the parcel of property on the corner of 28th Street and MCI Drive.

The developer did not release details or specs for the property.

Johnson develops properties across the country. Its portfolio includes 28 multifamily properties, more that 26 million square feet of industrial space and 65 self-storage facilities. Among its holdings are 24 properties across Florida, including apartments in Tampa, industrial space in Lakeland and storage facilities in Bonita Springs and Naples.

Land Advisors Organization’s Tampa Bay office represented the seller and announced the deal.

Construction is expected to be complete sometime next year.
