Joe Cataldo has been named Englewood Market President for Englewood Bank & Trust, where he will oversee the Boca Grande, Cape Haze, Gulf Cove and Englewood branches.

“Englewood is a people-focused, tight-knit community,” Englewood Bank & Trust CEO Jake Crews says in a press release. “Joe’s involvement in the community and history in banking gives me confidence that he will continue to grow the culture of banking we have been providing in Englewood for many years.”

Cataldo’s banking career includes experience in residential and commercial lending and branch management, according to a statement. Prior to Englewood Bank & Trust, Cataldo worked in management and leadership roles with ServisFirst, First Horizon and SunTrust Bank in the Englewood and Venice areas. Cataldo is a Charlotte County resident.

“I firmly believe if you build your community, you build your bank,” Cataldo says in the statement. “I joined the bank right before Hurricane Ian hit and was amazed to see how the Crews family of banks cared about the well-being of their clients and employees. The culture speaks for itself.”

Englewood Bank & Trust is part of the Crews Banking Corp., a family-owned-and-operated Florida bank holding company providing local financial services for more than 90 years. The portfolio includes Crews Bank & Trust, Charlotte State Bank & Trust and Wauchula State Bank. It had $221.13 million in assets through June 30, according to Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. data.
