For now, Salvatore Scro is working with the firm’s Orlando office on the construction and property damage litigation team as special counsel. He currently resides in Lakewood Ranch. With offices serving central, south and the East Coast of Florida, the firm was ready to move into this area, a spokesperson with the firm confirmed, to be able to serve the Florida West Coast.

Scro comes to Ball Janik with the Florida Bar board certification in construction. He’ll be focused on all aspects of complex construction defect litigation, condominium and homeowner association turnover matters, real estate transactions and closings, civil litigation, contract and business matters and litigation, and personal injury. Once the new office in western Florida is open, the company is hopeful for later this year, Scro will be one of the lead attorneys.

“We are proud and excited to have Sal join the Ball Janik team,” says Jim Prichard, managing partner at Ball Janik, in a news release. “He is an exceptional attorney who will be crucial in establishing our western Florida office and helping the firm grow in the coming years.”

Before relocating to Florida in 2006, Scro practiced various areas within litigation, real estate and business matters in Syracuse, New York. Once in Florida, Scro turned his focus to representing homeowners, homeowner associations and condominium associations in complex construction defect litigation and turnover matters. The news release also states that he represents clients in business, civil and personal injury litigation matters, and commercial and residential real estate transactions.

“Joining a firm as reputable as Ball Janik is an exciting opportunity,” says Scro. “I’m excited to get started and help establish the firm’s western Florida office. I have no doubt we will provide the best service to every client we represent.

The firm has office locations in Orlando and Miami and was founded in Portland, Oregon.
