SARASOTA — As the workplace continues to shift, more and more businesses are seeking advice. To help out, a national law firm partner is stepping into a new position.
Shumaker partner Jason Collier, who’s based in Sarasota, was announced as the new regional leader for the labor, employment and benefits service line.
“Jason’s background in employment law is more valuable than ever as businesses are restructuring and changing processes due to the pandemic,” says Chairman Tom Dillon in a news release. “At Shumaker, we are dedicated to helping clients navigate the law through these unprecedented times.”
With the growth it’s continued to see, Shumaker has been adding regional service line leaders over the past year. The added leadership has helped navigate in-demand areas of law, such as real estate and development, health, environmental and energy, intellectual property and technology, labor, employment, benefits, and wealth strategies.

The national firm employs more than 270 lawyers and advisors with an office in both Tampa and Sarasota.
