With cryptocurrency all the rage right now, at least one developer with a local project is entertaining the idea of negotiating in Bitcoin.
A $25 million for sale sign recently went up for a bayfront estate in Sarasota that’s currently under development. And although cryptocurrencies aren't actively backed by governments, central banks or, for the most part, physical assets, the developer is going to consider offers made in Bitcoin.
The estate was designed by Miami-based architectural firm Choeff Levy Fischman, according to a statement. The listing at 2043 Alameda Ave. N. is being represented by Rinat Sikdar, an affiliated agent with Coldwell Banker Realty in Florida.
Choeff Levy Fischman is known for the aesthetic and indoor-outdoor living design that captures the South Florida lifestyle, the press release states. The residence is situated on a 35,750-square-foot lot and features six bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms. The house is enveloped by glass walls providing ample views of the outdoor space.
The glass encased house features a two-story waterfall wall, a rooftop lounge, a theater, a sauna and a gym.
“This stunning residence exudes the architect’s award-winning tropical modern style, exemplifying bold design, glamour and global presence,” Sikdar says in the release. “The development shows that traditional South Florida homebuyers, both locally and internationally, could be eyeing the Sarasota area and all it has to offer, including breathtaking beaches, world-class gastronomic delights and luxury retail establishments.”
