SARASOTA — The Sarasota-based managing partner of national law firm Shumaker was reelected as vice chair for a second year.
Jennifer Compton’s term began Jan. 1. The firm’s management committee was in charge of the announcement. She was reelected alongside four-year chair Tom Dillon, who is based in Ohio.
Compton is the managing partner of the Sarasota office, where she’s focused her career around employment law counseling and litigation. Additionally, she stays involved with the community as secretary, executive committee member and board member for the Sarasota Bayfront Planning Organization.
“I am humbled and honored to have been reelected by my colleagues to serve in this role,” she says in a statement, “and I look forward to working closely with Shumaker’s Management Committee Members in an effort to better serve our clients and the communities in which we live.”
The management committee is made up of seven partners, COO and CFO.
