NAPLES — Conditioned Air Co., one of the largest air-conditioning contracting and service firms in Southwest Florida, has named a new CEO: industry veteran Greg Johnson.

With more than 30 years of executive experience in the service industry, Johnson was also named executive chairman of the Naples-based firm. The company serves markets across Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota and Manatee counties, where it has some 400 employees and does around $55 in annual revenue. Johnson replaces Tim Dupre, who left to take on the CEO role at Naples-based PBS Contractors; Dupre had been with Conditioned for 24 years.

Johnson will be responsible for driving results through talent development, long-term strategy, technology planning, and mergers and acquisitions, the release states. “We are pleased to welcome Greg to our team,” says longtime board member Theo Etzel. “His proven track record and leadership skills will be essential as we continue to build Conditioned Air into the HVAC provider of choice in Southwest Florida with an unending commitment to exceptional customer service and employee satisfaction.”

Johnson’s career began in the HVAC Service business more than 30 years ago. For the past 21 years, the release states, he’s been CEO/President of multiple service organizations in various industries. Originally from Colorado, Johnson earned an MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship, finance and international management from the University of Colorado. He also has a deep background in mergers and acquisitions, accomplishing more than 50 private transactions in his career.

“Conditioned Air is an outstanding organization with more than 60 years of reliable customer service and loyal community support in Southwest Florida,” Johnson said. “I am honored about the opportunity to build upon that legacy and take this company to the next level as we meet the repair and installation needs of home and business owners.”

In addition to Johnson, the company announced a revamped senior leadership team, including:

• Jeff Zanella, Senior Vice President of Service

• Jon Kunz, Senior Vice President of Construction Services

• Mike Escobar, Interim Vice President of Finance and Administration

• Blanca Beauchamp, Director of Human Resources

• Henry Fear, Director of Supply Chain and Logistics

• Tim Jones, Director of Marketing

Founded in 1962, Conditioned Air offers local expertise in light commercial and residential HVAC systems, including design, engineer, estimate, installation and maintenance of new construction, refrigeration, indoor air quality and dehumidification systems.
