Coca-Cola Beverages Florida LLC, also known as Coke Florida, opened its new sales and distribution center in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.
The company, which bottles Coca-Cola beverages for a region that includes 47 Florida counties and 21 million people, broke ground on the $10.2 million, 22,000-square-foot project in 2019, but it experienced pandemic-related delays.
According to a news release, the St. Pete facility represents the first new ground-up construction for Tampa-based Coke Florida, which was founded in 2015.
Located at 9300 16th St. N., the facility, the release states, will employ 140 people and serve more than 3,500 client business in the area.
