Early next week, Suffolk Construction is scheduled to raze a trio of vacant independent living apartment buildings at Vi at Bentley Village, part of an expansive redevelopment project on the Naples campus.

Demolition is expected to start Aug. 22, to be completed by the end of September, according to a statement. Suffolk, the release adds, will then start to build new independent living residences in Bentley Village’s Phase Six Redevelopment Project.

Bentley Village’s phase six redevelopment project will bring the community four new buildings housing 64 luxury independent living residences, complete with five new floor plan options. All the new apartments, ranging in size from about 2,400 to 4,500 square feet, feature beautiful lake and golf course views, as well as both car and golf cart parking. Each new residence will offer a spacious, screened-in outdoor living balcony; a semi-private elevator; a great room with open kitchen, dining and living space and high ceilings; a den; luxurious bathrooms; and walk-in closets.

“This revitalization will offer a new level of retirement living for our residents, and it will renew our commitment to excellence,” Director of Sales Jeremy Hinds says in the statement. “These new residences will be the largest and most luxurious that we have ever offered at Bentley Village.”

The entrance fees for these new apartments start at $2.5 million and extend to over $4 million, depending on the floor plan and unit selected.

“We have seen a robust interest level in these apartments, so we have limited remaining inventory,” Hinds says in the statement. “This shows there is demand in the marketplace for high-end residences in Life Plan communities which offer access to care as residents age.”

Once the three older apartment buildings are demolished and construction on the new residences begins, the Bentley Village phase six redevelopment project is expected to take about 18 months to complete.

Vi at Bentley Village, a continuum of care community including independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing, has been providing luxury retirement living for more than 30 years.
