Jeff Hunt has been named a managing director at Skyway Capital Markets, a Tampa-based investment banking firm.

According to a news release, Hunt comes to Skyway from St. Petersburg-based BayFirst National Bank, where he worked for 10 years, most recently as executive vice president and chief strategy officer.

Prior to BayFirst, Hunt worked for 17 years for investment banking firm Kendrick Pierce & Co. In that role, the release states, he completed hundreds of capital and M&A advisory transactions and worked alongside Skyway CEO Russ Hunt.

“We are excited to have Jeff join the Skyway team, and it’s nice to be working with him again,” Russ Hunt states in the release. “The combination of his operational experience and ability to evaluate financial opportunities and implement financial technology, along with his entrepreneurial and strategic mindset, are attributes that will help our clients achieve their desired outcomes.”

Skyway, the release states, has participated in more than $3 billion in public and private investment banking transactions.

“I could not be more thrilled to be joining the Skyway team and rejoining Russ,” Jeff Hunt states in the release. “Skyway enjoys an amazing reputation for deal execution.”
