ZooTampa at Lowry Park and Coppertail Brewing Co. have agreed to a partnership that will make Coppertail the zoo’s official craft beer brand through 2024.

The multifaceted sponsorship deal, according to a news release, also includes the establishment of ZooBrews, a special evening event for guests 21 and older that will raise money for conservation, animal care and education programs.

“As a local brewery, we’re passionate about protecting those things that make Florida such an amazing place to live, like our native wildlife,” Coppertail President Kent Bailey states in the release. “We’re proud to support the zoo’s efforts to rehabilitate and conserve these native species. Working together, we think we can draw more attention and resources to help this cause while at the same time creating some delicious beer together.”

Coppertail, based in Tampa’s historic Ybor City district, will also be the presenting sponsor of ZooTampa’s Beer & Wine Garden, which will offer free samples to ZooTampa members.

“We are proud to partner with Coppertail Brewing Co. and be able to work with a great local company that understands the importance of conservation and sustainability,” ZooTampa President and CEO Joe Couceiro states in the release. “It is an amazing experience to be able to enjoy a craft beer while at the same time contributing to conservation efforts.”
