FORT MYERS — Topgolf is opening its seventh location in Florida this week — and the first in the Southwest corner of the state.
Topgolf, known for its open-air, two-level venues, is scheduled to open this Friday, Nov. 19, in Fort Myers, according to a statement. “We are thrilled to connect with and entertain new and existing guests in the Southwest portion of the state,” Topgolf COO for U.S. Venues Gen Gray says in the statement. “There has been a lot of excitement in the region from Fort Myers down to Naples, and we are excited to serve the community as a fun and energetic destination.”
Topgolf Fort Myers, on 2021 Topgolf Way, behind the Colonial Square Town Center and near the Cypress Lakes development, will feature 72 climate-controlled outdoor hitting bays, chef-inspired signature menu items, top-shelf drinks, music and year-round programming for all ages, the release states. Additionally, Topgolf Fort Myers is equipped with an outdoor patio, rooftop terrace and private event space.
Topgolf also operates two venues in the Miami area, two in the Orlando area and one each in Tampa and Jacksonville. “With a diverse existing golf community, Florida is a prime place for Topgolf,” Gray adds in the release. “Home to the second largest footprint of venues in the country, we are excited to continue fostering relationships and bringing the Topgolf experience to new communities across the state.
Topgolf Fort Myers will employ some 300 people. To apply for a position, go to Topgolf's career website.
Topgolf currently operates over 70 venues in five countries.
