Lakewood Ranch-based medical device company INVO Bioscience Inc. appointed Rebecca Messina to the company’s board of directors, effective immediately.
The company offers the INVOcell, which is an in vivo intravaginal culture system that provides an affordable treatment plan for infertile patients. Messina has experience leading the marketing for elite brands and businesses, according to a statement. She’s currently a senior advisor at McKinsey & Co. where she advises internal teams and firm clients in marketing as a growth lever.
"I am honored to join the INVO Bioscience board of directors, and help to broaden awareness and access for more people to the additional fertility treatment options available and ultimately, bring more people closer to the dream of creating a family," Messina says in a release.
Messina has experience as a global chief marketing officer with Beam Suntory and Uber. She also spent 22 years at The Coca-Cola Co. in roles that allowed her to increase responsibility and leadership.
She has received a number of accolades throughout her career, including Forbes World's Most Influential CMOs, 2019; Ad Age, Women to Watch 2016; Business Insider, and Most Innovative CMOs in the World 2016. Messina also has served on several boards including the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
