Developer appoints new head of residential division

Alain Filiault has nearly 30 years of residential building experience.

FORT MYERS — Seagate named Development Group named veteran construction professional Alain Filiault vice president of its residential unit.

In leading the full-service firm’s residential division, Filiault acquires and develops sites, manages projects with respect to time and budget and builds teams, according to a statement. Filiault is currently overseeing remodeling projects in Estuary at Grey Oaks, Pelican Bay, Shadow Wood, Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club and on Boca Grande. He’s also overseeing projects in Seagate’s development of homes in Esplanade Lake Club, Hill Tide Estates and the Isola Bella neighborhood in Talis Park, the release adds.

Prior to joining Seagate, Filiault managed projects and business development for Houchin Construction. He started his career 28 years ago, the release states, with Toll Brothers as a senior project manager. He later worked at London Bay Homes where he was ultimately promoted to vice president, the release states, expanding staff, doubling year-over-year sales, enhancing quality assurance inspection scores and launching a client development department.

Seagate is a full-service commercial development company specializing in a design-build process via new construction, custom renovations, interior design, and management and leasing services. It had $65.5 million in revenue in 2019. High-profile projects include building and designing NeoGenomics’ $60-million global headquarters and Scotlynn USA Division Inc.’s 60,000-square-foot North American corporate headquarters.
