Among the legion of issues stemming from the pandemic, a big one is isolation. Not only in empty offices, but in executives figuring out many issues own their own.
Tampa-based insurance firm BRP Group, one of the fastest-growing companies in the region, is doing its part to combat the isolation with its Resilient Together initiative. BRP, along with executives from the some of the firms in its operating group, including BKS Partners, Insgroup, AHT Insurance and Burnham Benefits, are behind the idea. BRP posted $137.8 million in revenue in 2019, up 72.6% from $79.8 million in 2018.
The initiative has a website, WeAreResilientTogether.com, where people can access decision-making tools, networking, webinar topics and virtual panel discussions, according to a statement. The series kicked off in February with a panel discussion-style webinar on considerations of the COVID-19 vaccine in the professional environment, the release adds. A replay of the webinar, titled “The Legal, Philosophical and Ethical Considerations of the COVID-19 Vaccine,” is available on the website.
“Resilient Together offers resources to make informed decisions and insight into how peers in the business community are overcoming unforeseen challenges, or in some cases, navigating unexpected growth during the pandemic,” says BRP Group CEO Trevor Baldwin, a 2020 Business Observer 40 Under 40 winner, in the statement. “While we may be socially distanced, we don’t have to do this alone. As a community, we will become Resilient Together.”
