$13 million foundation announces new treasurer, board members

The four new members are part of the 2021-22 board of directors

NAPLES — The Immokalee Foundation recently announced the addition of four new members to its 2021-22 board of directors.

The newly appointed treasurer is Drew Yurko, CFO of Lipman Family Farms. New board members include Katherine Ahearn, senior VP at Northern Trust Naples; Katherine “Kitty” Green, VP for advancement and foundation executive director at Florida Gulf Coast University; and Carol Joseph, former VP of organizational development at Magnum Products.  

“Community engagement is an important strategic pillar for FGCU, and I can’t think of a better partnership than between The Immokalee Foundation and FGCU,” Green says in a press release. “We work together on many initiatives to benefit the young people of Immokalee, and I am delighted to represent FGCU on The Immokalee Foundation’s board. I am looking forward to supporting the foundation’s excellent work in any way I can.”

“We are honored by the tireless dedication of The Immokalee Foundation board of directors,” Noemi Perez, president and CEO of the foundation, says in the statement. “Together with our staff, we look forward to working together to provide life-changing opportunities for the youth of Immokalee.”

According to the release, The Immokalee Foundation provides a range of education programs that focus on building professional careers through support, mentoring and tutoring, and life skills development leading to economic independence. The foundation’s assets total over $13 million.
