NAPLES — Area country music singer Ben Allen, who starred on “The Voice” TV show in 2020, has opened a new restaurant in Naples in conjunction with local experienced hospitality entrepreneur Todd Brooks.

The restaurant, Ben Allen's Backyard Grill & Pub, is at 12655 Tamiami Trail E., Naples. It will replace the Brooks Burgers restaurant that was previously there, according to a statement. The pub will focus on live music events and provide comfort food consisting of a mix of pizza, pasta and burgers. The grand opening is planned for the last week of June, the release states, highlighted by a performance from the Ben Allen Band.

“I wanted to create not only a restaurant, but a venue where local musicians can find a home,” Allen says in the statement. “It feels like going back to my roots. I stepped on a stage for the first time ever in a small venue like Ben Allen's Backyard. We will provide a stage where artists perform close to the audience, play shows, learn what people want to hear and learn how to entertain. I want Ben Allen's Backyard to be a place where people can go to experience the magic of that."

The new menu, Brooks says in the release, will keep some of the burger choices from Brooks Burgers. "I would describe Ben Allen's Backyard as a fun live entertainment spot,” Brooks says in the release.

Allen, originally from Kingston, Tennessee, was on Season 19 of “The Voice.”
