NAPLES — The Community Foundation of Collier County named Wendy Ponting CFO.
Her primary role will be to provide executive leadership, vision, and strategic oversight for the Foundation’s overall operating, financial, and administrative activities, according to a statement. She will also offer investment management oversight and work actively with the Investment Committee to develop investment policy and asset allocation.
Ponting spent 23 years with the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, starting
in 1998 as an accountant and advancing to Vice President of Finance and Controller. Ponting replaces the foundation’s former CFO, Lisette Holmes, who has moved into a financial analyst role, a new position at the foundation.
“We are so happy to have Wendy join our team,” Foundation President and CEO Eileen Connolly-Keesler says in the release. “Her many years of community foundation experience are invaluable and will assure that we continue to adhere to the highest standards of sound investing, effective grant-making and building the capacity of Collier County nonprofit agencies.”
