We’ve all heard the saying, “Give and you shall receive.” The next Business Observer book club will delve into that concept and how it can help us in both business and life.
On Feb. 3 from 4 to 5 p.m., Sarasota Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Heather Kasten will lead a Business Observer book club discussion about the book “The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea” by Bob Burg and John David Mann.
The virtual gathering of Open Book is free and open to the public. The first 10 people to register will receive a free copy of “The Go-Giver,” courtesy of the Sarasota Chamber.
At the book club, Kasten will guide a discussion with attendees about “The Go-Giver.” She will also share what the book means to her and how the story’s principles have made a difference in her life.
“Some things in life are genuinely complicated; however, the spirit of giving back is as simple and straightforward as can be,” Kasten tells Coffee Talk. “The book ‘The Go-Giver’ is a timeless fable about a young man striving for success in business who, with the help of his mentor, discovers the five laws to the true secret to success.”
Kasten has led the Chamber and other business-support organizations for more than a decade. She’s advocated locally, statewide and on a national scale in support of small and large companies. “I look forward to sharing this story with you and discussing new takeaways from this thought-provoking book,” Kasten says.
