NAPLES — Ryan Benson, principal with A. Vernon Allen Builder, was recently named chairman of the Florida Home Builders PAC through the current election cycle.
The Florida Home Builder’s Political Action Committee is the organization responsible for much of the lobbying activity for the homebuilding industry in Florida. Benson’s two-year term will run through 2022, according to a statement. The PAC, according to its website, works each year to “advance its mission of fighting unnecessary fees and seeking ways to stop burdensome regulations.”
A Business Observer 40-under 40 winner in 2018, Benson is the co-owner of A. Vernon Allen Builder, a luxury homebuilder in Naples. He’s also a director for the Florida Housing Finance Corp., appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2019, according to the statement. Benson was also awarded the Florida Home Builders Association’s Young Professional award.
A Vernon Allen Builder, founded in 1951 by Vernon Allen, is the largest builder in Port Royal section of Naples. Owned and lead now by Benson and Andy Bringardner, the company has built hundreds of homes in the area through its 70-year history.
