ESTERO — National construction management firm Suffolk has promoted Rod Nobrega to vice president.

Nobrega joined Suffolk in 2016, according to a press release. Since then he has been responsible for some of the firm’s largest projects in the region, including the 55-acre Moorings Park at Grande Lake, Moorings Park Clubhouse and Moorings Park Buildings A, G and R.

His portfolio totals more than $250 million worth of construction in Southwest Florida. His areas of expertise include sectors such as senior living, multi-family residential, hospitality, transportation and health care.

In his new role as vice president, Nobrega will provide leadership to project teams throughout Southwest Florida and will take a hands-on role as project executive for larger projects and strategic accounts in the area. He will guide projects from the earliest phases of pre-construction through completion.

“Rod is a tremendous leader and has been an integral part of Suffolk’s growth in the region,” says Suffolk General Manager Josh Christensen in a statement. “He brings unique solutions and a people-first approach to all of his projects, and we are confident he will continue to play an important role for us.”

Nobrega was named a Business Observer’s 40 Under 40 winner last year.

Suffolk provides construction management services and real estate capital investment, design, self-perform construction services, technology start-up investment and innovation research/development. A statement says the national company has $4 billion in annual revenue. It has 2,500 employees and main offices in Miami, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Estero, Boston, New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. Suffolk serves clients in health care, science and technology, education, gaming, transportation/aviation, commercial and more.
