NAPLES — John R. Wood Properties, the oldest major real estate brokerage in Southwest Florida, led the region in closed sales and sales volume in the first six months of 2021.
The Naples-based company, in a statement, says the results come from MLS data from January through June. In that time frame the company posted sales volume of $1.605 billion. That leads the nearest competitor in the region by $160.21 million in volume, the release states. The company has sold 3,664 total units year-to-date.
“In addition to a record-breaking 2020, we are having an impressive 2021 with hundreds of seven- and eight-figure sales as de-urbanization fuels the hot housing market,” John R. Wood Properties President and CEO Phil Wood says in the release. “We are pleased to continue to be Southwest Florida’s luxury residential real estate leader, a best-in-class position we’ve held throughout our 60 plus-year history, longer than any other brokerage in the region.”
The company announced a comprehensive rebranding effort last month, a move to “elevate its focus on streamlined, personalized service for luxury buyers and sellers, with new positioning and graphic design characteristics across all lines of business.”
John R. Wood Properties was founded in 1958. In 2020 it posted sales volume of $3.65 billion, an increase of almost $1 billion dollars over the previous year. The company has 19 offices throughout Collier and Lee counties, serving Marco Island, Isles of Capri, 10 locations in the Naples area, Ave Maria, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Fort Myers Beach, Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva. The company has 650 agents and staff.
