LAKEWOOD RANCH — The Lake Club, one of 16 residential communities within the master-planned Lakewood Ranch development in Sarasota and Manatee counties, is receiving both accolades and increased consumer interest.
In the first three months of this year, for instance, the gated community reported 70 sales totaling nearly $100 million. In March alone, a total of 42 sales contracts were executed in the Lake Club, according to a statement.
Among the more notable transactions, a trio of new models from Naples-based custom homebuilder Stock Development Co. sold shortly after their completion in Genoa, the newest enclave in the community.
Lake Club officials say Genoa has been successful because buyers are seeking the enclave’s larger estate lots along with “spacious outdoor living areas, bonus rooms easily converted into home offices and open floor plans with high ceilings.”
The first quarter sales come as the Lake Club has been voted the “Best Community” in the 31,000-acre Lakewood Ranch for the second year in a row.
The Tuscan-inspired community of custom luxury homes features “scenic lakes, decorative bridges and a unique mile-long park,” along with a 20,000-square-foot Grande Clubhouse, “an exclusive gathering place to host events and indulge in entertainment, dining, and sporting activities.”
The Lake Club, where residences sell from between $800,000 to over $3 million, now contains just over 700 homes, according to the community's website.
