SARASOTA — CPA firm Mauldin & Jenkins has acquired Sarasota-based accounting and consulting firm Plush Smith PA.
The acquisition increases Mauldin & Jenkins’ office locations to nine across the Southeast, according to a press release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Plush Smith, managed by its founder, Carla Plush Smith, CPA, has provided tax, financial reporting and consulting services to individuals, fiduciaries, commercial businesses and other organizations since 2011.
“In seeking a succession partner, we looked for a firm which would continue the level of client service Plush Smith became known for,” says Smith in a statement. “Competency, empathy, and accessibility are among the qualities the Sarasota-based Mauldin & Jenkins team will bring to our wonderful market.”
Mauldin & Jenkins has provided assurance, tax and advisory services to clients in the Southeast since 1918. The firm has over 330 employees and offices Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
