Large area software firm recruits new top HR executive

Tony Dinkins has more than 30 years of human resources leadership experience.

NAPLES — Longtime human resources executive Tony Dinkins has been named chief human resources officer at ACI Worldwide, a Naples-based digital payment software firm.

Dinkins, according to a statement, was most recently chief human resources officer at Fiesta Restaurant Group, which operates restaurant brands in Texas and Florida, including Pollo Tropical, and has more than 12,000 employees. Prior to Fiesta, he was senior vice president of human resources at Cable & Wireless Communications, a telecommunications company with more than 7,000 employees across 26 countries. He also held senior HR roles at global organizations including Citrix Systems, AVAYA and Lucent Technologies, the release adds.

“Tony brings to ACI an extensive and proven background in leading HR efforts for global organizations in technology and across numerous growth sectors, and we are excited that he is joining our leadership team,” ACI Worldwide President and CEO Odilon Almeida says in the statement. “As both our organization and our industry continue to evolve amid a rapidly changing environment, having the best leaders is critically important, especially when it comes to building and strengthening teams. Tony’s experience with implementing advanced HR initiatives, developing strong talent and creating impactful cultural programs will benefit ACI as we embark on our new growth strategy.”

ACI Worldwide powers digital payments  for more than 6,000 organizations around, and more than 1,000 of the largest financial institutions and intermediaries, as well as thousands of global merchants, rely on ACI to execute $14 trillion each day in payments and securities. The company had $1.05 billion in revenue in 2019.
