The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa — part of the Rocky Point resort property that used to house Hogan’s Beach, a Hulk Hogan-themed party bar — wants to help body-slam the economic hardship that local brick-and-mortar retailers are facing amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Or should that be a leg drop — the Hulkster’s signature finishing move?

Whatever the case may be, the hotel has come up with a plan to rent out its banquet rooms to merchants forced to close their doors because of the pandemic.

According to a press release, the Godfrey will make its 784-square-foot Chartroom East and 952-square-foot Chartroom West available on a month-to-month basis. The spaces, which will rent for $1,500, come with high-speed Internet access, customer parking and plenty of foot traffic thanks to the resort’s attached restaurant and WTR Pool & Grill amenity, formerly known as Hogan’s Beach.

Both rooms — a total of 1,736 square feet — can also be rented out to a single tenant if desired. In addition to providing much-needed physical visibility for beleaguered merchants, the Godfrey will also promote its tenant businesses via its social media channels and e-newsletters. For more information about rates and availability, contact the resort’s sales team at [email protected]
