TAMPA — Tampa architecture firms BDG Architects and Fleischman Garcia Architecture have merged, effective Nov. 9.
According to a press release, the combined firm will employ 130 people in six offices located in three states. Locally, in addition to Tampa, it will have a presence in Safety Harbor and Sarasota. The headquarters will remain in Tampa
“BDG and Fleischman Garcia complement each other very well,” BDG Architects President Chris Kirschner states in the release. “I have been an admirer of Fleischman Garcia’s work for over 20 years and they have an incredibly talented team of project architects and interior designers with an average of 30 years of experience each. They also have an impressive portfolio of award-winning projects that have earned them a reputation as one of the top design firms in the Tampa Bay region.”
The combined firm, the release states, will specialize in a broad spectrum of project types including multifamily, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, K-12 and higher education, health care, governmental and institutional. Services will include planning, architecture, interior design and program management.

Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.
